Adenocarcinoma: the cancer's name
Tarceva: the medication she needs
Night Owl visitors
She will always be beautiful.
I stayed with Agnes that Monday evening. It was great just to be with her. She struggles to speak, has a hard time sleeping through the night. She woke up every hour or so having breathing difficulties, coughing, or needing to use the restroom with the nurses' help. And early in the morning, the doctors came in and out to check up on her. I slept through that morning routine. I was exhausted. But that's only a sliver of what she's experiencing. I have nothing to complain about. Thank you to friends and family who have been coming in and out to help with whatever they can.
When you visit with her, avoid making loud noises. We, ladies, tend to be loud =.) Girlfriends, she likes back rubs and just you being there. She likes listening to mellow worship music. Calms her spirit.
We love you, Agnes. You're a warrior. You've fought battles more than many of us combined. Don't give up.
You armed me with STRENGTH for battle; You made my adversaries bow at my feet. ~Psalm 18:39
